Boston Local Food Festival
THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER INCREDIBLE BOSTON LOCAL FOOD FESTIVAL!
On Sunday, September 15th, the 2024 Boston Local Food Festival was filled with the flavors, sights, and sounds of New England’s lively local food community. With the sun shining on the Rose Kennedy Greenway and smiles all around, attendees explored an amazing array of dishes presented by New England’s talented chefs, farmers, fisherfolk, food producers, and food trucks. From farm-to-plate cuisine to sweet and savory treats, the festival was a true celebration of our local food system.
Our 85 amazing food vendors really showed up and showed out for the 2024 Boston Local Food Festival. You could’ve traveled to every continent and back with the variety of food we had—but the best part? Most of it was sourced right here in New England!
The activities this year brought the festival to life! Highlights included:
FSNE’s New England Village educated festival-goers about their 50-by-60 Food Vision: that by 2060, 50% of the food produced in New England is from New England.
The Seafood Throwdown, where two chefs raced through the festival to create stunning seafood dishes for the judges.
Chef Demos at the Clarke Kitchen, showcasing our vendors in action with free tastings for attendees.
The Family Fun Zone featured acro-yoga, juggling, face painting, apple cider pressing, and lawn games.
Interactive exhibits from The Trustees Adventure Van, Boston Public Library’s mobile bike library, and Open Air Circus activities.
If you missed the festival or want to join us as a vendor or volunteer next year, sign up for our newsletter or follow us on social media @bostonlocalfood to stay updated on the 2025 Boston Local Food Festival and other exciting events.
We can’t wait to see you next year for more food, fun, and community celebration!

Zero-Waste
Our festival aims to decrease the amount of waste produced every year. We work with People Making a Difference and Blue Strike Environmental Group volunteers who sort the festival’s waste into either Trash, Recycling, or Compost which is then measured by Save That Stuff.
